Bunny Thank You

So it's been quite a while since I've updated my Blog with a new card project.  One of my goals for 2016 is to become more consistent with my Blog posts and hopefully start doing videos of projects.  I guess that's something that remains to be seen…lol

For the past year I've been wanting to use this cute Stamp Set from Stampin' Up with these cute "Cheerful Critters" holding signs.  Instead of creating an Easter card, why not a spring themed thank you card with along with a new Sale-A-Bration two step photopolymere stamp set from Stampin' Up as well.  Colors: Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Memento Black Ink & Gold Brialliance Pigment ink from Tsukeneko.  Whisper White & Melon Mambo card stock from Stampin' Up.  Gold cord from Marth Stewart Crafts.  Copic markers for coloring.

Too get that two shade teqnique from one stamp color…in this case Melon Mambo… you can use a technique called stamping off.  The out line of the flower is a direct from ink to paper.  The shaded part of the flower is inked then stamped on a different piece of paper and then stamped on the image layer.  Yielding a lighter version of the same color.  Great way to save on buying differnt shades of ink in the same color range.  The yellowish layer of the folor is a gold pigment ink that has a nice shine to it when refelcted in the light.  That would be the 3rd layer of the flower.  The window of the card was created using a window cutting tool from EK Success.  I picked it up at the Wilton Tent sale in Woodbridge, IL last spring.  Finally got around to using it for a card design and love the results.  Here's what that kit looks like.  Sorry it's not a link to a website.

Thanks so much for visitng and keep checking back for more updates!  Happy Easter Everyone!
